Civil Engineers – all levels

 

Purpose of the Position:

The purpose of the role is to plan, organise and manage the costs, programme and construction of the concrete & steel structures planned for the project. Manage a large structures construction team working on multiple structures to achieve programme, safety & quality targets within budget.

Qualification & Experience needed:

– Engineering degree with a Structures and Civils background is essential
– Strong analytical and management skills
– Experience working on structures within a major Construction project
– Experience with building box culverts and viaducts preferred

 

General Labouring & Operator Positions:

 

Earthworks Foreman (multiple vacancies)

This role will suit an experienced Foreman/Operator/Supervisor who is looking for a new challenge on a large road infrastructure project and feels they have the drive and experience to manage the immense earthworks needed for project completion. Strong local experience in major earthwork projects including working with the fickle Auckland weather throughout the year. Experience in NZ approved Erosion Control procedures is also essential

Requirement Include:
– Previous experience in similar role on large infrastructure projects
– Well-developed skills in earthworks and drainage
– Good resource/material utilization skills and experience
– Ability to lead, mentor and motivate a team
– Ability to take direction from senior staff
– A good attitude

Skills Requirement:
– Leading a workforce including subcontractors and trades-people
– Chairing daily pre-start/tool box meetings
– Prepare reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecast
– Monitor the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules
– Inducting staff and leading by example with respect to HSE

 

Gate Keeper

Purpose of position:

A gate keeper on our project manages the general running of the Site Compound and the day to day activities that unfold at the first point of entry to the site. You will need to:

–  Record and direct Logging Trucks, Supplier and Sub Contractors to their designated areas
– Ensure that all persons and vehicles that enter our site are fully compliant with Health and Safety protocols
– Report any breach of Health and Safety to the Supervisors and Superintendents

– Good Numeracy and Literacy skills

– Dedicated and willing to learn
– Reliable and Honest

 

Hammerhand & Carpenters

Purpose of position:

Preparing the projects worksites for sub-contractors. Laying out the tools and materials based on the daily worksheet activities.  Being prepared to move across multiple offices along the 18.6 km site.

Attributes & Experience required:
– Proven experience with being on the tools
– Good Numeracy and Literacy skills
– Good Work ethics
– Dedicated and willing to learn
– Reliable and Honest

 

General Labourers

In preparation for the next earthworks season, we are also inviting expressions of interest for the following positions:
– Unskilled to Skilled Labourer
– Leading Hand
– Working Foreman
– Welder

 

Machine Operators

During our next intake later this year we will be seeking expressions of interest from anyone who is eager to learn new tools and tricks of the trade. Those who have strong work ethics, are reliable, good communicators, dedicated and excited to be part of a team.  Please get in touch if you are a:

Hiab Operator

Requirement Includes:
– Regular contact with external customers
– Loading and unloading of goods
– Delivering to sites across Puhoi to Warkworth
– Working in all weathers
– Manual handling duties
– Delivering materials

Skills Requirement:
– Minimum Class 4 License
– Hiab / Crane cert unit 16617 preferred but not essential
– Hands on role type of person
– Role includes manual handling
– Hiab Endorsement required
