  • Earthworks Foreman & Structures Foreman

  • Civil Engineers - Site Engineers, Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer

  • Construction Phase Support - Engineer Manager


EARTHWORKS FOREMAN & STRUCTURES FOREMAN

Purpose of the Position:

To efficiently and effectively plan, organise and manage a number of teams working on earthworks or structures activities.
You will be required to

  • Organise, coordinate and direct field construction activities in accordance with work schedules whilst constantly monitoring the status of planning and quality activities
  • Assess and allocate priorities as necessary
  • Maintain close contact with Supervisor and other Foreman to ensure continuity of job progress
  • Monitor and review the performance of plant, labour and subcontractors to ensure production targets are met or bettered and take appropriate action as necessary
  • Promptly advise management of any issues that could be variations to the contract and keep accurate records of such issues
  • Ensure safe work conditions are maintained at all times
  • Ensure all environmental measures are in place at all times

Experience needed:

  • Large scale earthworks experience
  • Managing a team

Civil Engineers – Project Engineer or SENIOR project ENGINEER

We are currently recruiting  for Site Engineers with 2+ years’ experience, a Project engineer with a minimum of 5-years’ experience or a Senior Project Engineer with 6 + years’ experience,  ideally within road infrastructure projects.   

Purpose of the Position:

The purpose of the role is to plan, organise and manage the costs, programme and construction of the concrete & steel structures planned for the project. Assist with managing a large structures construction team working on multiple structures to achieve programme, safety & quality targets within budget.  You will be required to have a strong focus on time, cost, programme and health and safety.  Some level of managing staff is required, therefore you’ll have great experience with people and dealing with people related matters.  

A good level of proficiency  with MS Suite products in particular MS Excel.  

Qualification & Experience needed:

  • Engineering degree with a Civils background is essential

  • Strong analytical and people skills

  • Experience working on major Civil Construction projects, ideally in roading

CONSTRUCTION PHASE SUPPORT, ENGINEER MANAGER

Purpose of the Position:

  • Be the interface between Fletcher Acciona Joint Venture and the construction phase support team (design team – DJV CPS). 

  • Provide appropriate technical support during the construction phase of the project, including RFI’s and NCRs.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, assist the Construction Team with technical engineering solutions for permanent and temporary works required for construction of the Project

  • Engage with the Planning Team to track progress and look for options to improve construction timeline

  • Engage with the Construction Team looking for improvement on technical engineering solutions that allows for optimizing and reducing cost and timing implications

  • Coordinate, review and track post-IFC design changes

Qualification & Experience needed:

  • Engineering degree with a Civils background

  • 5 years of relevant engineering experience, including design 

  • Excellent in forward planning

  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent skills at developing effective working relationship with others
