STRUCTURES FOREMAN

We are currently recruiting for a Structures Foreman with a number of years’ experience constructing bridges. 

Purpose of the Position:

To efficiently and effectively plan, organise and manage a number of teams working on the construction of the project bridges. 

You will be required to:

  • Organise, coordinate and direct field construction activities in accordance with work schedules whilst constantly monitoring the status of planning and quality activities

  • Assess and allocate priorities as necessary

  • Maintain close contact with the Supervisor and other Foreman to ensure continuity of job progress

  • Monitor and review the performance of plant, labour and subcontractors to ensure production targets are met or bettered and take appropriate action as necessary

  • Promptly advise management of any issues that could be variations to the contract and keep accurate records of such issues

  • Ensure safe work conditions are maintained at all times

  • Ensure all environmental measures are in place at all times

Experience needed:

  • Experience building bridges
  • Managing a team

STRUCTURES SITE ENGINEERS

We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer with 2+ years’ experience, ideally within bridge construction projects.

Purpose of the Position:

The purpose of the role is to plan, organise and manage the costs, programme and construction of the concrete & steel structures planned for the project. Assist with managing a large structures construction team working on multiple structures to achieve programme, safety & quality targets within budget. You will be required to have a strong focus on time, cost, programme and health and safety. Some level of managing staff is required, therefore you’ll have great experience with people and dealing with people related matters. A good level of proficiency with MS Suite products in particular MS Excel.

Qualification & Experience needed:

  • Engineering degree with a Civils background is essential
  • Strong analytical and people skills
  • Experience working on major Civil Construction projects, ideally in roading


Health &Safety ADVISOR

Purpose of the position:

To provide assistance and support to the Health and Safety Team in the delivery of health and safety management services to help the project reach its targets and objectives. You will be tasked with monitoring site compliance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act (2015). You will also ensure any non-compliances are promptly addressed.

You will be required to:

  • Participate in the development of the project(s) Health and Safety Management Plan and Health and Safety Action Plans.

  • Coordinate and participate in project audits and site inspections

  • Provide safety data for project and Divisional reports

  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of safe work practices for the elimination, isolation and minimisation of workplace hazards.

  • Audit JSEA’s regularly to ensure that they are being implemented correctly. Communicate any deviations from plan immediately with the appropriate supervisor

Qualification & Experience needed:

  • Excellent knowledge of the New Zealand legal framework for HSQE including HSE, ACC and HSNO, ISOs and industry guidelines and standards and experience in carrying out audits and reporting

  • You will need high level communications skills

  • Experience working on major Civil Construction projects, ideally in roading
